Preparations, Packing & Publications

Getting ready for a trip is quite a chore. There are so many important questions that need answering before you can be sure that you have packed everything you will need and included nothing that's extraneous. There seem to be important decisions to make every time you try to do something.  For example, I decided to write a blog, rather than rely on Facebook, to keep people up to date with my progress, location, adventures etc. So there was the first quandary: what platform? Hours later, fingers frozen because I've been sitting out in the back room, I have started this publication. There's half a day of my life that I'll never get back!

Phill rang me the other day with some very important questions: single malt or gin?  Red or white? 1, 2, 3 or more bottles?  It's good to see that we have the same priorities!

And how many books are too many?  How much coffee will I need?  Should I take all my remaining salamis?  Is it more important to have nibblies on board (to eat with the afore mentioned whiskey and wine) than pack ingredients for meals?

Heading Home ... via Three Countries

I'm homeward bound.  However, in a rather relaxed sort of way since I have done little leapfrogs through Austria, Germany and now France...
